Maja has been part of ⋮IWFirstCall for more than 7 months. She has joined the company out of the wish to learn and grow. After 7 months of working in IT, she has been promoted to Operations Team Lead and today we feature her in our series Meet an employee.

Who is Maja?

Maja is a dedicated employee who is focused on constant growth and invests time in continuous learning, even when it’s not a direct job requirement. She possesses creativity, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Maja is passionate about her work and always eager to propose innovative ideas to enhance the productivity of the working process.

How long have you been working at ⋮IWFirstCall, and what motivated you to join ⋮IWFirstCall?

I have been with ⋮IWFirstCall for over seven months. My motivation to join ⋮IWFirstCall came as a result to desire for ongoing learning. By keeping up with the latest technology developments, I sharpen my existing skills and cultivate new ones. In the dynamic field of IT, constant learning is crucial. ⋮IWFirstCall provides me with the opportunity to tackle complex challenges, exercise critical thinking skills, and solve problems, which brings me intrinsic satisfaction. Resolving issues within tight timeframes also allows me to develop effective solutions.

What do you find most challenging and rewarding about working in your current role?

I primarily view myself as a problem solver and have a genuine passion for helping others. Assisting teams and team members in addressing the significant challenges posed by client requirements is both challenging and immensely rewarding in my current role. Advancing in responsibilities as I progress in my career serves as a fitting reward for me. While I’ve had to learn a great deal of new technological aspects, I have committed myself to constantly seeking and acquiring knowledge to assist clients in resolving their issues and ensuring their satisfaction.

What skills and qualities do you believe are essential for success in your role?

Being in step with current technologies is vital in my position, which entails substantial reading. The more I delve into these resources, the easier it becomes to quickly grasp new concepts. As an IT technician, effective communication skills, initiative, compassion, and empathy for end-user problems are indispensable qualities that greatly benefit our company. I strive to bring delight and joy while addressing customer issues. Finally, self-discipline, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are also crucial.

How do you balance your work responsibilities with your personal life?

I establish the optimal balance by following my inner compass. With intentionality and creativity, I create a work-home balance. I always plan ahead and prioritize tasks, considering possible approaches to meet urgent obligations while still attending to others. Good organization is key to fulfilling all my commitments by the end of the day.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work to relax?

Spending quality time with my son, whether it’s going for walks or simply staying at home, brings me joy and helps me relax. When I’m not with my son, I enjoy gardening flowers and plants.
