Darko is a tech enthusiast who loves keeping up with the latest technologies and trends, and enjoys spending his free time indulging in his hobbies. He’s an avid watcher of anime and an avid player of video games. Darko has been part of IWFirstCall for almost a year and today we are featuring him in our series Meet an employee.

Who is Darko?

Darko is the person that gets most excited when a new project is on the horizon. Always eager to learn more, and be in step with the latest technologies and trends. As a sociable person, I am talkative and always willing to entertain and share jokes. Furthermore, I consider myself to be a fantastic team player, offering help to anyone in need, whether that be personal or private life.

Describe one working day at IWFirstCall.

What attracted me to apply for a position at IWFirstCall is the fact that no two days are the same. This happens to be one of my favorite things about my job. However, this is how one day looked like recently – I start my working day by catching up on my emails, and responding to any urgent matters. I then focus on my tasks, sending reports, monitoring reports, and addressing emerging issues. During the middle of my working day, I usually take a lunch break with my colleagues, and afterward, we have a coffee break during which we discuss our ongoing projects and ensure we are all on the same page.

I always strive to use my free time to engage in creative work, brainstorm ideas to upgrade our projects, and gain experience for future projects. Additionally, I always try to be more productive than I was before, which helps to make my workdays even more fulfilling.

What has been the most challenging moment for you since you’re beginning at IWFirstCall?

Since we have multitasking liabilities for world-acclaimed companies, having in mind that you work for them is challenging in front of all. But if I have to single out one moment, that would be my first call for solving an emergency issue.

What is the level of collaboration and teamwork at IWFirstCall?

We all work together to plan and manage the implementation schedule. Our team always completes our projects ahead of schedule with very positive reviews. Our ability to communicate effectively was what made us such a good team. My colleagues express concerns clearly and openly, so we resolve issues as soon as they arose.

I enjoy the shared experience in which each of us uses our best skills and talents to produce one cohesive result. The friendly atmosphere is just an added bonus that motivates me to come to work every day.

What is the best thing about working in your field?

When I started working at IWFirstCall, I started at a great entry-level position at a start-up company. Not only I was learning more and more each day, but our management was also very transparent, teaching us a great deal to handle emergency issues. Our field of interest is vast and includes diagnosing software and hardware faults, solving issues over the phone, maintaining and monitoring computer networks and systems, responding to call-outs in a timely manner, and much more, but everything is touched by the new IT trends that are changing every hour. Therefore, the best thing about being technical support is that each day is a new challenge and as technology continues to grow and develop, you are always learning something new. The best part is that each day you know more than the previous day.

How do you enjoy spending your free time?

 I especially enjoy watching Anime and playing video games. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, drinking coffee and sometimes beer.
