What is your role at IWFirstCall and how long have you been at IWFirstCall?
I have been working at IWFirstCall for over six months and so far, I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of this company.
As an operational support associate, my job responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, ensuring their smooth functioning, troubleshooting system, and network problems, identifying and resolving hardware and software issues, and promptly responding to call-outs within agreed time frames.
Why did you choose a career in help desk/call center/NOC?
Being part of a help desk, call center, or NOC team can be a significant challenge, but it aligns with my interests as I have always been intrigued by emerging technologies and IT trends.
As such, this job provides me with a unique opportunity to stay up-to-date with the latest IT advancements and requires me to develop innovative solutions for the challenges that arise.
How do you stay up to date with the latest technology and advancements in the industry?
To stay up to date with the latest advancements in the industry, I regularly read tech blogs, which are an excellent resource for learning about emerging trends quickly, and I also follow influential thought leaders on social media and participate in tech forums. In addition, I find podcasts to be a convenient way to stay tuned to the latest tech news and trends.
There are a lot of platforms out there to use, with Spotify and Stitcher being some of the best that offers a wealth of information.
What is the most interesting part about working at IWFirstCall?
